Article of the Day March 29, 2009 If unity is our goal, it should be our only goal and we should not have any other goals, as it is explained in the letter “He and His Name are One”: “Israel, the Torah and the Creator are one”. This is the way we should direct ourselves, without anything intermediate, otherwise we would not reach our goal. Otherwise we will immediately start moving in opposite direction. This means that the word “love” means becoming one with the Creator, connecting with the group, as well as with the rest of humanity. This should practically make one line, the ending result should already be contained in the starting thought and everything should join together. If a person puts himself inside of these borders only and his single wish is to be within them, it becomes clear to him that he is directed correctly and the “one commandment” that is entrusted upon him is really entrusted upon him and he is moving in the right direction. It is very important because we can only imagine all the rest, as it is a move away form the right path. We are being taught that if one does not want to make mistakes, he should constantly direct himself toward “Israel, the Torah and the Creator are One”. Otherwise the longer he goes, the more the error become and, naturally, the longer one moves in wrong direction, the more he gets away from the goal.
