Inside the Zohar or the Zohar in you?

While reading The Book of Zohar, I have to imagine that I am a small world and everything is inside me; the ocean, mountains, colors, sounds, trees, people and all events are taking place inside me. Then I will gradually start to shift from images that are being described by The Zohar to qualities and forces. Instead of responding to the words of this book by imagining animals, people, trees and all the things happening to them, I will gradually begin to discern these qualities within me. In essence, there are just two qualities-reception and bestowal, but they can be present in varying degrees and expressed in different ways.

We have to try to recognize everything that is being described by this book. As soon as we really make the transition to the world of forces, we will begin to see the truth and to understand that all the images we now see are an imaginary world, and in reality, it is all just forces. And then, behind these forces, we will gradually start to discern the One, Single Force-the Creator.

That is how we have to read The Book of Zohar.

from the Daily Page 09/12/09

The Lack Of Desire Manifests As Lack Of Fulfillment

Posted on December 2nd, 2009 at 6:45 am at laitman.com

The Kli (vessel) is a form imprinted by the Light inside desire. It is the attempt of the vessel to reach a certain special state in order to attain fulfillment. If I’m looking for some specific form of fulfillment, that means my desire has already acquired the “form” and property of that which I desire.

This Light is already present in me, but it exists in the shape of an informational record (Reshimo), in the form of a certain emptiness, a hollow figure. I don’t feel it as fulfillment, nor do I sense pleasure.

In spirituality these states are adjacent to each other and the same applies to the material world; when I want something, I see it, sense it, and consider what I need to do in order to get it. Only through my effort does this occur!

In other words, I have to add a new twist to my already existing desire so that it becomes possible to reveal the “big Light” which we call fulfillment within the small Light called “Reshimo.” The size of the Light depends on the size of the desire.

I feel a deficiency in fulfillment because the Light already exists and is shining on me from a distance, waking my Reshimo and forcing me to strive towards it. The difference between Reshimo and fulfillment depends only on my desire, since the Light is eternal and permanent. Reshimo is the Light within me that has not yet manifested itself within my desires.

I must accelerate my efforts to increase the intensity of my desires and reveal the fulfillment that already exists within me. Because of the low intensity of my desires, I sense them as Reshimo, as a lack of fulfillment.

I exist in an ocean of eternal, constant and endless Light, but I can’t feel it since I don’t have contact with it, nor do I possess any common qualities with it. If even the smallest bit of desire towards the Light arises in me, I start feeling it.

On one hand, the slightest of feelings confirms that the Light exists and on the other hand, it makes me regret not sensing it to its full capacity. The regret that I feel as a result of not sensing the Light at its ultimate level is called “Hissaron” (a lack of fulfillment) that pushes me to try harder to reach the Light.

When I start increasing my level of effort, the Light that I felt in my weaker desire as Reshimo turns itself into fulfillment. The Light is unchangeable, but as my desire grows, the desired becomes real.

I am always in the ocean of Light, but the difference is that I can expose myself to it on a smaller or larger scale.

Quotes from the Zohar

The Zohar Volume 4 Verse 87

But the Holy One, blessed be He, is always strict with the Righteous in every deed they do. Because He knows they will not turn away, neither to the right nor the left, He constantly tests them. Nor for His own sake DOES THE HOLY ONE, BLESSED BE HE, TEST THEM, as He knows their desire and the firmness of their faith and has no need of trying them. He tries them only to lift up their heads, to give them confidence as they earn their merits through these EXPERIENCES.

The Zohar Volume 5 Verse 21

Come and behold, Isaac was with his wife for twenty years, but she did not give birth until he had said his prayer. This is because the Holy One, blessed be He, desires the prayer of the righteous, when they ask Him in prayer for their needs. Why? Because the anointing oil will be increased by the prayer of the righteous for all those in need of it. FOR THE RIGHTEOUS IN THEIR PRAYER OPEN THE SUPERNAL CHANNEL, AND THEN EVEN THE PRAYERS OF THE UNWORTHY ARE ANSWERED.

The Zohar Volume 4 Verse 132

Esau hid these garments with Rivkah and wore them when he went hunting. On the day WHEN ISAAC SENT FOR HIM TO RECEIVE THE BLESSINGS, he did not take them to the field and was therefore late. When Esau wore them, they put forth no scent at all, but when Jacob wore them, the lost object was restored AS THEY RETURNED TO THE ASPECT OF ADAM. For the beauty of Jacob was the beauty of Adam. They therefore returned to their place and emitted fragrance.

Kabbalahinfo: A spiritual teacher directs us towards our source, not towards himself

http://www.laitman.com/2009/11/how-do-you-know-if-youve-found-a-true-kabbalist/

If you see that the other students and the teacher are trying to accomplish [the force of bestowal or altruism], without considering anything besides the Creator important, this means you have found the right place to study.

Expand Your Perception of Reality to Include the Unseen

Sense Beyond the World You Perceive
Through the Study of Kabbalah

It is a well known fact that we perceive the world using our five senses. In this way, we are like a black box that only perceives the things entering it from outside. It is affected or pressured by external forces and then reacts to these influences.

Whatever enters this self-contained system (us) through the five senses goes on to be recorded, processed, and analyzed by a complicated system we call “the brain.” The resulting picture constitutes our entire perceivable reality.

The Internal Picture of Our World

So, what we perceive is our reactions to external influences. It is the culmination of our senses processing all the external information that comes our way. The entire collection of our sensations gives us an internal picture called “our world.” Thus, even though the world appears to be outside us, it is actually an entirely subjective, internal picture. Using just our five senses, we are unable to compare the objective reality existing outside us with the subjective reality existing inside us.

Is it possible for us to get around the limitations of our perception? Scientists have invented a wide array of instruments to expand the range of our sensations, including microscopes and telescopes. However, none of these tools are able to provide us with a truly new sense. No matter how much we expand the range of our five senses, we still remain trapped within the framework of our regular sensations.

Collectively we all share common sensations that enable us to communicate with each other, exchange signs and impressions, and understand each other. All our senses, which are organs of receiving information, are built in order to receive, record, process, and evaluate the incoming information exclusively according to its benefit to us.

Expanding Our Perception

But could it be that there is something else outside of us that we don’t quite feel or identify? Kabbalah – a wisdom of expanding human perception, reveals that indeed, there is a whole additional world outside of us, whose existence we don’t even suspect. Our five senses simply don’t “pick it up,” and therefore we do not feel it.

The word “Kabbalah” means reception. It is a method enabling us to develop an additional sense for “receiving” information about that which exists in the external universe. By mastering this method, one starts feeling the surrounding world in a completely different way.

Sensing the Spiritual World

Kabbalists are ordinary people just like you and me; the only difference is that they have developed a new sense that enables them to feel an additional realm of reality, the spiritual world. The method of doing this is ancient and scientific, with its own mathematical, methodological, and psychological systems. It investigates the mechanics of man’s inner world and demonstrates how one can go beyond his internal sensations in order to attain the external ones, even before they start affecting his five senses.

Attaining the Spiritual World – Total Perfection and Eternity

Equipped with the Kabbalistic method, a person living in our world, in a physical body,

A new Way to Look at Suffering

Our Awareness Of The Source Makes The Difference Between Pleasure And Pain

Posted on September 18th, 2009 at 6:00 pm at laitman.com

Question I received: How can a person avoid suffering?

My Answer: Ask yourself: who inflicts all the problems and suffering on you? If you felt that they all come from the Creator, you’d already feel better.

It’s similar to a surgeon who operates on you: even though it’s a painful process, you know that what he is doing is good for you. In fact, if you have enough understanding of the gravity of your illness and the efficacy of the treatment, then you won’t feel pain at all. If you understand that the operation will make you get well, you will even ask the surgeon to perform the operation sooner!

Thus, it’s because we do not have this sensation that we feel suffering. The feeling of suffering is not caused by the pain itself, but by the fact that we don’t feel Who inflicts the suffering upon us.

If you could feel that the pain comes from a surgeon rather than a criminal, then you wouldn’t experience it as pain, and you would even be grateful to the one causing it, instead of trying to fight what the criminal is doing to you.

So, what you lack is not a disconnection from the pain or from the act itself, but the revelation of the Creator, who is the one responsible for the act as well as its aim. Only then will you sense pleasure instead of suffering.

It is a psychological problem, really. Even scientific experiments show that the suffering and pleasure felt inside a body stem from the same processes. Pain and pleasure are just surges of sensations in two different directions. For the body, they are the same thing, and it’s only later that our mind discerns them as different. The body, however, feels them as the same thing.

http://www.laitman.com/2009/09/our-awareness-of-the-source-makes-the-difference-between-pleasure-and-pain/

The Secret Meaning of the Bible Part 4

Noah cont.

To Achieve Unconditional Happiness The Desires Have To Be Increased, Not Decreased

We must understand that everything around us was created solely of sheer necessity for our spiritual adhesion with the Creator. Nothing was created in vain, or for another purpose. Hence, the single challenge is to wisely use all that exists around us and inside of us beneficially for the true, eternal, genuine goal. The goal in itself also has to be clarified: Is it indeed true and eternal? What is this goal exactly? All inner desires and surrounding pleasures were created not just for nothing. Hence, under no circumstances should man simply spurn anything.

Beginners often inquire: "Should we go into seclusion, turn away from everything, switch off the TV, stop reading newspapers, listening to the radio?" Absolutely not - such coercive limitations will not bear results. The finest remedy is to plainly take books and start "showering" oneself with this pure water, this light of Hassadim. As the result of correct study, this purifying light descends down, pouring over man from outside, and filling him from within. From all of our desires, this light will elucidate that which is called “Noah”, aspiring specifically towards the true Goal. Accordingly, those desires and forces which first must drown in water, will be kept there for a while, purified, and used only afterwards.

Noah appeared like everyone else, did not seclude himself until the Flood. What does "Flood" mean? It is the power that one needs to evoke on himself through the intense Kabbalah studies. When this force acts upon us in its full might, it forces us to enter the state called "ark". For this reason there is a period when man renounces all of his desires and goes into seclusion, needing to be alone (as in this Chapter of the Torah). Later, he attracts the remaining desires and uses them, since without them he cannot progress further. Egoism, the will to receive pleasure is the only driving force, as it is the only thing set forth by the Creator. Indeed, the great Kabbalists escaped the masses by going into seclusion, or hiding. However, they did so only for a specific purpose, while being at very high spiritual levels. Only after one completes his correction, his life`s path, his mission on this earth, does he go into seclusion, in order to fully absorb the external world in that specific secluded state. Later, he returns and offers the new method of attaining the spiritual for the new generation or for the future generations to come.

Hence, any coercive renouncement and restrictions are out of the question. By approaching Kabbalah studies correctly (i.e. the laws of existence, the Creator), and "showering" ourselves with extensive amounts of the Upper light evoked by the study in the course of many weeks and months, we will separate our desires. We will realize how we can rule over these desires and forces, how to work with them; understanding what the right balance between these desires and powers should be, and which desire is called "Noah". Man has to attain the level that enables him to live both in our world and in the rest of worlds simultaneously. He has to feel the entire surrounding Existence the same way he feels our world. For the world is indivisible, and our task is to hatch from our inner shell, which prevents us from seeing our present or future, from understanding who we are, why we are born, and where we go after death.

The purpose of creation is for man to come out of this little shell and unearth the entire sphere of Existence. However, the problem is that one can study with one`s mind, logically, or sensually attain perception of our world. It happens that we may know nothing about the spiritual world, but live in it because we

The Secret Meaning of the Bible Part 3

Seventh Day

On the seventh day man climbed higher and higher. He performed corrections inside of himself six times: Hesed, Gevura, Tifferet, Netzach, Hod, Yesod. These six consecutive corrections are called six days or six thousand years of creation. The last Sefira (i.e. Malchut) is not capable of correcting itself. However, after Malchut absorbs the properties of the six previous Sefirot, it is able to receive their properties. This is why the essence of the seventh day is that everything that was accumulated and created in the course of the six days enters Malchut. Saturday is considered to be a special day, because in this state the souls are filled with the upper light. The only condition is “not to hamper” this process, which is symbolically expressed in the laws of Shabbat.

Question: Is there a connection between seven days of creation and the years of spiritual chronology?

Yes, such a connection exists. For mankind, these seven days of creation pass by as six thousands years. Six thousands years are equivalent to the s ix days of the week (weekdays) during which mankind corrects itself, first, unconsciously and later consciously through their own work. Eventually, mankind reaches the seventh millennium, or the seventh day of Saturday. This is the state when the Upper Infinite Light of pleasure and abundance fills mankind`s corrected properties.

Question: Does a number “seven” have some secret meaning?

The system that governs our world consists of seven parts. In our world we have many divisions into 7 or 70: seventy nations of the world, seven days of the week; man’s soul consists of seventy parts, man’s life is considered to be seventy years long, and so on. The entire path of mankind consists of six days – 6000 years of correction. Common conscious correction of mankind started in 1995 (5755). During the time left until 6000 years, we, the entire mankind, have to correct ourselves, and later, in the seventh millennium, receive a deserved, earned reward.

Question: Can we influence these processes, “compress” the time, and shorten our path towards the purpose of creation?

The only thing that we can do is to accelerate the seven thousand year long process set upon us from above. Those who can approach this process individually, enter into the Upper world and perfect reality earlier. Also, the very path of correction (if done consciously by applying one’s own efforts), is felt as a reflection or romantic urge rather than a constant blow of fate.

We study the structure and functioning of the entire existence to be able to clearly understand how to intervene and alter this process. In general, man cannot exert a direct influence upon his root/origins. He exists at the lower degree as the upper’s derivative. However, by correcting ourselves and becoming similar to our root, we are able to change our inner sensation of what we receive from above. Instead of blows of fate, constant problems, and daily difficulties, we start to experiencing bliss, peace, perfection and complete knowledge. The Creator has put us into this world so that we can, by using Kabbalah, master the Upper world and start ruling over our own destiny.

Luckily time works in our favor. The time of inner–spiritual and outer-physical deliverance of the entire humanity is approaching, according to the Preface to the “Book of the Zohar”. As man cannot exist in our world without any knowledge of it, similarly man’s soul after the death of its body cannot exist in the Upper world without receiving some preliminary knowledge about it. This is why the knowledge of Kabbalah guarantees comfortable existence in our world and

The Secret Meaning of the Bible Part 2

It seems that a Kabbalistic book [including the Old Testament] tells a story about our world. These words, however, do not confuse a Kabbalist who clearly sees what the book is actually talking about. They know exactly which branch (i.e. effect) in our world corresponds to its root in the Upper world.

Seven Days of Creation

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Now the earth was unformed and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the spirit of God hovered over the face of the waters. And God said: 'Let there be light.' And there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.

Bereshit (Genesis), the first chapter in the Torah (Pentateuch) starts with these words. They evoke a certain picture. We have heard various interpretations of these words at the level of Peshat (literal meaning). However, these simple interpretations leave a tremendous amount of questions; they lack logic and a scientific approach. Kabbalists explain this as follows:

All sacred books talk about only the spiritual world, the way it was created, and how later our world was created from it. Moreover, these books do not just relate to what exists but also they teach a person to be able to see that world.

Gradual revelation of the Upper world is called the spiritual ascent of a person, or rungs of the spiritual elevation. Several techniques are used in the books to describe the spiritual world. Kabbalah is the science about the structure of the Upper world; it uses the language of Sefirot, Partzufim, graphs, and drawings to describe it. The Torah describes the Upper world using everyday language. There is also the allegorical language and the language of laws. Now, we will try to translate the language of the Torah into Kabbalistic language.

The Torah describes the emergence of the Upper world, its structure and evolution and then it depicts the process of our creation. But this is not a person of our world. The Torah talks about the creation of the will to receive (called the Soul or Adam) with the goal to fill this creation-desire-soul with eternal and absolute delight. This desire to delight is the only creation. Besides it there is only the Creator. Thus everything besides the Creator is nothing but various measures of the desire to delight.

The same thing happens in our world. The only thing that separates all objects from each other is the different amount of the desire to delight, which determines all properties of each object. The desire to delight consists of five levels, and these five parts of desire-creation are called the Sefirot: Keter, Hochma, Bina, Tifferet, and Malchut. The Creator wishes to completely fill creation with pleasure until creation senses perfection and eternity. This is because the Creator Himself exists in this particular state, and wishes to bestow it to us.

The Creator is perfect and the only one. Being perfect, He wishes to bestow perfection, His own condition to His creatures. This is why the goal of creation is to reach the Creator's perfection, and to be able to receive that which the Creator wants to give.

Kabbalah does not deal with the events in our world. It researches the events in the Upper world, from where all the powers descended into our world and generated and instigated all that happens here. By learning Kabbalah, a person starts seeing the Upper world. A person is able to attain the Creator and the way He created the spiritual world. In Kabbalah, this act is called "The First day of Creation". In His subsequent actions (so called subsequent days), the Creator made governing forces of the Upper world. The last, sixth, act of the Creator (the sixth day of creation) was making of Adam.

Since Adam was the final act of the Creator

Now the earth was unformed and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the spirit of God hovered over the face of the waters. And God said: `Let there be light.` And there was light.

Imagine our universe for a moment: the endless amount of galaxies, stars, and worlds. Now imagine that we remove from our universe a specific portion of space. How are we able to imagine the resulting emptiness of this void if it contains nothing that is able to be measured or described? In reality we perceive all phenomena in terms of time, space, and movement. We cannot envision something that is absolutely static, frozen in time, without any volume. This is an analogy of our understanding of the spiritual worlds. There is no time, movement, or even space in the spiritual worlds. Since all our reality and perceptions are based on these physical concepts, it follows that there is absolutely no connection between spirituality and our construction of physical reality based on our perceptions and sensations. This results in a lack of words and vocabulary that is able to express spiritual concepts.

So if Kabbalah is the study of the spiritual worlds how are we able to discuss something that we are unable to imagine? If we are absolutely unable to envision the spiritual, then how can we comprehend what is written in Kabbalistic books?

What is described in the Torah (Bible)

When we study the Torah (Pentateuch, Bible) we must understand that all the words of the Torah and all other sacred books just appear to be words associated with our world. The words however represent spiritual objects and roots, which are under no circumstances connected to our world. There should be no confusion of these spiritual concepts and physical objects. The Torah contains the sacred names of the Creator, which represents the degrees of His attainment. This is similar to how we designate a name to an object in our world depending on how the object manifests itself to our senses. The entire Torah describes the levels of approaching and sensing the Creator.

The Thought of Creation and the Language of Kabbalah

All the worlds, including our world and all the objects in them are in tune with the single thought of creation: to give endless pleasure to the creature – the soul. This single purpose envelops all creation, from the beginning to the end. It is this purpose that determines all the suffering that we go through, our internal work upon ourselves, and the reward. After the individual correction all the souls will re-unite into a single soul. The soul receives not just a double pleasure (from both sensing

The female soul

THE ROLE OF WOMEN TOWARD THE MEN

The role of the woman is to provide external support, together with other women, and to apply pressure on the men’s learning group. The woman is the lack; she is the Malchut with respect to Zeir Anpin. We, the men, advance with regard to their pressure.
Just like a woman pressures her husband to go out and support her and the children, she has to push us, the men, forward, so we go out to bring spiritual sustenance both for ourselves and for her.

Without this pressure from the woman, we won’t advance! The guiding force in most of the development of man, is that men want to be seen as good and successful in the eyes of women. Thus, women have a very important role. A role of their own, different from the role of the men. The roles are different and not alike in spirituality. We need to understand nature, and work in accordance with it!
Women unite together only as they direct toward the men, and men unite together in connection toward the Creator.
From Rav Laitman’s lesson 12.06.09

The whole world group, as well as each group individually, consists of an inner men’s group and a women’s groups that surrounds it and one cannot exist without the other. Moreover, when I look at a group (and we find that we have approximately two million students and accordingly, quite a few groups), I evaluate the group according to its female part. A strong, organized, and close-knit women’s group is a guarantee that the inner men’s group will continue to exist, become stronger, expand, develop, and ascend spiritually. This is because women, with their desire, organization, pressure, and concern about the fact that they can only reach the spiritual through the men, will ensure that the men advance. Therefore, before all else, I look at the female part of the group, and if the female part is adequately organized, significant and strong, we can say that the men are provided for.

A man needs the Hissaron that comes to him from a woman, and a woman needs additional forces that come to her through the man. They cannot advance without each other. Therefore, spiritual advancement lies in their supplementation of each other. A woman also reveals all the definitions that are called Abraham, Yitzhak, Yaakov, and so on. These are spiritual definitions, Sefirot, and we are talking about the soul. There is the female soul and the male soul. We had prophetesses and matriarchs, and all of them were in spiritual attainment.(Talk About the Spiritual Advancement of Women, January 16, 2007) http://www.kabbalahmedia.info/index.php?LID=15904

Imagine the world without women… If there were no women next to our newborn, the world would cease to exist in 50 years, 70 max. “A world without women” is ridiculous.Woman is the origin of all that exists: she brings forth and cultivates absolutely everything. Man is as though a source of energy, while in truth everything develops according to the program that is implanted in the woman. Here lies a very interesting correlation between the two sexes. Man is created like the Creator so as to unite with the Upper Source, deliver and then develop this energy and information. But all this is done only so as to pass it to the woman, who accepts this informati

Admire your Man or he will stray to find the admiration he seeks

My role in ending my Marriage

I had the ingredients of a good marriage when I met a man who I admired. I was impressed by his business dreams as he stated that which he wished to achieve. I was happy to stand by his side and I felt amazement when I saw the energy he put into his goals and the dedication he had. It was easy to lavish on the praise because it was genuine. Men respond to praise like little boys. They cannot get enough and they sulk if they do not get it. Eventually however, I must have decided that this man no longer deserved my praise because he was not being a good provider after all. I became critical of the time he spent getting nowhere and at my best I simply said nothing. I could actually see that he was still seeking the admiration I once had for him but my efforts were inconsistent and not genuine. His lifestyle seemed to be keeping him distant and I could not see that I had a part to play in him seeking admiration elsewhere. So, he married the very next woman who praised and valued him while I remained in a state of abandonment and victimhood for several years.

I am not discussing right and wrong here, I am simply stating my observation about how male-female partnerships naturally seem to work when a woman has admiration for her man and shows it.

My story reminds me of an article I found today which I have pasted below.

The Woman’s Role in Maintaining a Good Relationship
By praising her man, a woman helps him develop and strengthens their relationship.

Today the divorce rate is astounding and most relationships are short-lived. Because of this, it is very important for people to find out how they can maintain a successful marriage.

In order for a woman to understand how to best fulfill her part of the relationship, she must understand the nature of a man. Then she will be wise and able to create a lasting and loving relationship.

But how can a woman come to understand a man's nature? After all, men and women are so different. In fact, the right understanding can come from the right actions. A woman should express her appreciation of her man, letting him know that he is special to her, that he is great - and doing this often! Then she will realize what he needs from her, and what kind of a connection there should be between them.

She will see that a man needs motherly care, praise, and admiration. Despite being masculine, big, and "macho," a man actually has a great need for sympathy. And if a woman gives this to him, he won't be able to leave her.

In fact, it's similar to how a woman acts with a child. She tells him, "You're wonderful, you did such a great job, you're big, you can do it, you're special, you're the most unique person in the entire world - you, you, you..." And this makes the man remain with her.

But most importantly, she should do this with love. A man desires to hear this all the time, because men really are like children, and they often see a woman as a mother. And even though this kind of a relationship may seem "imbalanced," it will become balanced out because it will make the man want to "rise up," to show how great he is. It will awaken his desire to become greater in a positive way, rather than in an overbearing, negative way.

Written by Michael Laitman of laitman.com

Freedom

Article of the Day April 5, 2009

I should reach the state when no matter what my nature makes me wish, I have to realize and understand the necessity of my work with the group or my work with the world, no matter how I put it, I should make myself achieve the state of love for my neighbor. I should not be pushed by nature!

When you are free, you can do what you please! You should be free from your will to receive, free from all your fears, free from being afraid that you will not survive without loving your neighbor, free from everything there is. You can be the biggest and the most complete sinner of all, you have the right to do what you please, and everything is permitted to you. However, you should gradually come to the state, when even though you are completely free, free as the Creator Himself, you will start making yourself love your neighbor, love every minor detail of your neighbor, care about him in everything that possibly depends on you. It is called being free, it is called being big.

It means that you rise above your ego, and having done so, you make yourself do that. Instead of someone else making you do that by means of various blows, you make yourself come to that state on your own, and this is called “working in faith above reason”. It happens when your faith makes you do nothing, you have no obligations at all, and you are totally free in the Creator’s world. When can you be completely free? Only when you are like Him, when the only thing making you act is the knowledge that this is your highest value. This is called freedom. We do not totally understand how it is possible to be free. For example, look at the mother of 10, she is busy with her children all the time, can we call that freedom the way we see it? Based on our ego, we look at it as a very difficult work, but it is freedom based on the will to bestow, because it is not the difficult work that is valued (as in our example with caring for children), but how one rises above his will to received, above what is called “exile” for men. If I can get out of this state and start to control everything myself, if I can make myself keep the state of Arvut and do that on my own, if I can reach the state of “one man with one heart” along, then this is my “escape to freedom”.

This group helps us concentrate on Him

April 7, 2009 Article of the Day

The basic thing one has to keep inside is an inner template, a certain form of our unity. The from the inside of this unity we should try to reveal mutual love, mutual bestowal and their root, which is the Creator. This template, this unearthly form should be constantly present and burn inside of every one of us, an done should keep this form inside and move along with it, no matter what happens on the outside and what turmoil he has to go through. This is called he wants to “revive the kli of Adam haRishon”.

A person is where his thoughts and aspirations are and he should always be subconsciously guided by that no matter what he does. We fail, because we forget about that. We step away from that, we substitute that with something else, we do substitute the most important feature we have secondary external things.

I see this as basic, as “The Creator, the Torah and Israel are one”, no matter how we look at it, and “there in none else besides Him”. One needs group assistance, Arvut in order to concentrate on Him, in order to reveal Him, in order to discover His actions, and only with the help from one’s group the Godliness reveals itself.

Teaching Torah

Article of the Day April 2, 2009

Everything definitely depends on our ability to give right direction, and we are able to do a lot. Sometimes we misunderstand that, we think that our activity is dissemination via internet, by revealing certain levels there. Really we act according to our desires and our thoughts, and this is the way we change the world. All these means of communication, which attract someone’s attention and some people, do understand them, while some don’t, but these are all the secondary means. Clearly we check our world in accordance with this understanding, but the real correction takes place in accordance with our thoughts.

The most important concept of our dissemination is to show correct models to people on different levels like world leaders, scientists, economists, etc., up to commoners. We should care that every one of them has right formats of what is an award and punishment in modern world of globalization. For example, now we are discussing new television programs. In doing that we should be guided by same principle of whether they explain the new conduct, new form. Can a person be successful in modern world in accordance with this form or all this is simply small talk and laughs, which does happen with us sometimes. We do not keep the TV channel for that.
