It goes without saying; to all of the folks who had been talking trash about prepaid – YOU WERE WRONG‼!

I have been a big prepaid supporter for a long time. I had been praising prepaid for the longest time. Look back at past blog postings on my site and Gerson Lehrman’s site I have been supporting this since about 2007.

Most analysts who are looking at back-pedaling their positions by saying that Verizon is supporting prepaid smartphones are conning every investor out there. Sprint Nextel and MetroPCS have been promoting prepaid cellular on a smartphone for the last year. The mere fact that Verizon Wireless is now doing it means that the largest wireless carrier in North America has decided to join Sprint Nextel and MetroPCS.

I hate to say this about Verizon but it is chasing Sprint Nextel.

Anyway, thank goodness Verizon decided not to leave so much cash on the table by ignoring prepaid.
