Now that it is official Leo Apotheker is out and Meg Whitman is now in as H-P’s new CEO, we are now hearing trash talk from the tech sector, which the mainstream media seemed to forget to interview for its views about Whitman.

Meg Whitman is already coming out in support of the plans that Leo Apotheker started.  So why in the world did Leo Apotheker have to go?  Did Apotheker offend the sensibilities of the board?  Was the board looking for a scapegoat?  Now all of these questions are being raised in the mainstream media.

One of the reasons why the average investor no longer trusts business and stock analysts is the way in which they shift in the wind when it looks like they have made a mistake.   These same analysts are also the same ones who pretend they were always on the right side of the issue.

Makes you want to ignore Wall Street.

The following is from Henry Blodget’s timely article:

Elevations Partners partner Roger McNamee, as quoted by David Streitfeld in the NY Times:
"The notion that H.P. can be fixed by adding a celebrity chief executive is laughable."
Charles House, a former HP engineer, was also quoted in the NY Times
“Ms. Whitman would be “an unmitigated disaster...Her style is so arrogant it gags.”

No offense to Meg Whitman but now the board has to deal with this new fallout.

This is beginning to look like a train wreck in slow motion.
