What in the world happened? How in the world do you blow being the incumbent landline telephone company?
Several months ago I had commented that Fairpoint should have paid attention to their auditor. I got a thumbs-down on that comment.
According to the Concord Monitor, Fairpoint executives stated that “…they were unfamiliar with service quality standards they are required to adhere to and that they had conducted "internal" analyses of their systems that were different from those provided to regulators”. Are you kidding me? Who the heck are they kidding?
You could have read my own books to get an idea on what to do. I even reference my own sources.
How in the world can you claim to be in the telecom business and not know there are standards and industry practices to follow? How in the world can you claim to be in the telecom business and not know state requirements?
Anyone in the business for any length of time knows there are industry standards, state regulations, and defacto industry standards. There are even established reference sources.
Even if a particular state did not have specific requirements there are tons of industry standards and practices to reference.
