This is an issue of ethics versus profit. You either care or you don’t.
What can I say except that you have to fall on one side of the issue.
Look I understand Apple is considered to be a god-like company. However, we know that is not so. The company has to operate under the same ethical rules as any other company.
All Apple has to do is force its manufacturers to put in place safety standards that actually protect the workers. However, for whatever reason because it is making a fortune on products using cheap adult and child labor, not a single politician, celebrity, average person, or investment banker has said a thing. I guess making money is more important than life.
My suggestion to protesters: BOYCOTT Apple products now. I am sure Motorola, Samsung, and Nokia will be more than happy to supply product.
Remember Apple has known about the abuses for the last several years and has only paid lip service and token gestures to stop the abuses. All Apple has to do is to reduce the pressure on the Chinese and allow them to make a living and not force them to make Apple products for next to nothing. Of course this means Apple has to raise prices on its products to continue making its outraegous profit margins.
Apple it is called - behaving morally and ethically.
Here is somethign to think about - Steve Jobs was alive when all this was going on. Only now after Steve Jobs has died that truth is coming out; were people that afraid of him?
