1 Million iPhone 4S sold - good for Sprint?
Not, bad ... over 1 Million iPhone 4S sold in the first 24 hours. This is the biggest launch of any new product by Apple. Not too sure why - the 4S was a minor upgrade to the 4 and an initial disappoint in the iPhone 5 being announced. I'm thinking that the addition to Sprint give it a pretty good boost, will be interesting to see the breakdown by carrier of this 1 Million initial phones.

The Wall
I cannot complain too much about the absence of iPhone 5. Apple has delivered almost everything that was rumored for the next generation of the iPhone:
- 8M pixel camera
-A5 dual-core CPU chip
- Siri
- iCloud
- and even 64GB version
The only missing piece is the teardrop shape. I'd love to have one, since I'm not a huge proponent of the industrial iPhone 4 design, But iPhone is on a 2-year upgrade circle - 3G(new design)->3Gs(working phone), 4(revolutionary design)->4S(phone that should be able to make calls, even on AT&T network). So iPhone 4 share was "pre-programmed"

I don;t understand all this noise about "yet another failure". It's a good phone and I'm going to upgrade my retiring 3Gs to 4S next week.

If you think about it than it begins to make sense the release of the 4S before the 5. All those iPhone 4 users are still in their 2 year contract so would not have bought the iPhone 5. So, release a product (4S) that gets all you 3G's who had not upgrade to the 4 to do an upgrade. Good strategy to sell more iPhones.
