Ideas for Calendar
Is there any way a calendar event could have an alarm or a reminder message a week or so in advance?

Another idea--it would be great if the importance assigned to an event (low, normal, high) could result in the event being of a different color on the calendar.

Thanks,
Jacki in Morelia, Mexico

Great ideas ...

At the moment if you accept a calendar event that is in a tab (click the +) it will accept the event to your private calendar layer. This is automatic if you are the create the event. Notice the two colors on the event. The event alert (reminder) will show up on your dashboard (Tab Events). We can add additional reminder options.

Thanks for the Feedback ... keep it coming so that we can continue to improve TabUp.

Absolutely JackiMex!

I came to the Feedback Tab wanting to express the same inquiry about the calendar and advanced reminders! Cool to see others would use that feature also!

Hope to see this one coming tabUp! Will stay posted.

We are adding 1 day, 2 days and 1 week to the reminder options. Is this enough?

Those all sound exactly like timelines I would use for various reminders for events! I could see using the 1 or 2 day reminders for board meetings and association meetings or meeting information submittal deadlines. And I'm sure a 1 week reminder would be useful for events during the planning and development stages!

Absolutely! Great!

Thanks! Can't wait!

maybe even also a 1 hour (and maybe also 3 hour) advance reminder option.

I can see this helping people who sign up to help at a group's event, emailing them a reminder on their smartphones not to forget to show up in a few hours, while they are out and about that day.

Or an hour's reminder to allow time for traffic, parking and ticket admission to the speaker you're attending to bring notes back to the group, that starts in an hour.

Or so.

Just a thought. Can't wait guys!

In the current logic once a member the group has accepted a calendar event to their private calendar they can set reminders for 5 min, 15 min, 30 min, 1 hour and 2 hours from the time of the appointment.

Example:

1) you create an event
2) group member 1 accepts the event (you as the event creator automatically accept the event).
3) group member in accepting the event can than apply a reminder.

So, what you'd like to see is that as a tab organizer you can automatically send out reminders to all group members? Did I get this right?

I didn't realize this feature was currently available, great!

Yet, that is correct - the ability for tab administrators to set reminders for members would be awesome! Maybe even, specific members, as well as all members.

Thanks for clarifying and following up on my inquiry!

Hello,

I'm new to TabUp... found it while searching for an online group calendar. We're looking for an online tool that will allow 10-20 different people to log on, look at a calendar of events and add or change their events as needed. I like that I can look at your calendar in single-day view and I can add numerous meetings even if they're at the same time. But... is there anyway to add everyone's meetings to a Public Calendar (no private) and give everyone a different color label so that they're easy to track in one place?

Thank you very much.

tabUp is designed that each group has a single view of the calendar in a tab, so what you are looking to do won't work in a single tab. We have some people that have created a tab for each family member and record that family members activities in their respective tabs.

Example:

tab 1: Bob
tab 2: Sue
tab 3: Karen
tab 4: Bill
etc ... (max 24 tabs)

Bob records all his appointments in his tab "Bob", Sue in her tab "Karen, etc. Bob invites Sue and Karen to join their tab and so on ...

Now this would get a little crazy for 20 people ... you would need to create 20 tabs with a lot of inviting. Kind of hard to organize for a large group of people but it does work for smaller numbers. So, if you can manage to get your group to each create their own tab in tabUp this may work for you.

You can overlay all the calendars from across all your tabs in a single view.

Hope this helps, sorry we don't have exactly what you need.
