emails [unwanted?] to new invites

I am the Manager for my tab.   After I invite someone to join our tab, but before that person decides to accept the invite - they get bombarded with ALL tab notifications  [again, they haven't accepted yet, therefore they do not have Settings to turn this down].

It seems to me that someone new to seeing Tabup would have an extremely dim view of a site, where their first exposure was an invite email followed with carpet bombing of notification emails, before they've had a chance to look at Tabup and decide if it is right for them.

Is there a way to turn off the notifications stream to new invites, until they decide to join and get comfortable with it?

Pending tab members (invitees) can turn off all the inbound events / discussion emails by clicking on the "unsubscribe" link in the footer of the emails they are receiving from the group.     Current tab members need to use the setting menu on their dashboard to manage email notifications and will not see the unsubscribe option in the email.

We've been reviewing this process and are changing the feature so that pending tab members (invitees) only receive a weekly summary and not every event.    

Hopefully this upcoming change will better meet the needs of your group.  Expect to see the change go in to effect toward the end of this week.

First, thank you for your quick responsiveness and listening to your end-users!

Question:  does the text of the invitee email contain instructions "Pending tab members (invitees) can turn off all the inbound events / discussion emails by clicking on the "unsubscribe" link in the footer of the emails they are receiving from the group. "?

Otherwise, I feel the need to invite users AND then immediately send them an email outside of tabup.com to educate them on this.

The invitee sees the following message in the footer of both "Event" and "TalkAbout" emails that they receive from your tab.    Sending a reply by email or clicking on the unsubscribe link will turn off emails for this pending user until they join the tab.  The new user can customize their email settings once they join the group (tab).

We deployed a new build today changing the email behavior for pending group users.   They should only receive the weekly summary email until they join your tab.  Pending user will no longer receive emails for every discussion / event.   

If needed, you can use the Manage > Invite menu in your tab to resend the invite to pending users (invitees).

Feel free to make any additional suggests that will help make tabUp useful to you and your group.
